If The Ramones were still alive and playing, The Briefs would be the perfect openers. Bursting out of Seattle, the Briefs have already become a European phenomenon, and have found a loyal US fan base in the niche punk scene. The energy behind their songs and the cultural throwbacks in their style has made me keep their tunes on repeat for the past few days.
Notice how much "Poor and Weird" sounds like an original reconstruction of "Pinhead" by The Ramones. I love it.
