It's CMJ week in New York. Lots of things are going on. For a complete list of events, check out the coverage on Oh My Rockness. Here's what I'll be doing:


10/31: Halloween. I'm gonna get trashed, go trick or treating, and hit up a CMJ show. Valeze will be playing Crash Mansion at 11. I'll be dressed up as Sid Vicious if you want to find me and tell me how awesome I am. It's an 18+, so hopefully there'll be some hot college freshmen girls.

11/1: Brooklyn Vegan will host his first free CMJ show at Pianos from noon until 5. The impressive lineup is available here. That night, Mobius Band will be playing at Mercury Lounge.

11/2: I'll be giving my ears a rest on Thursday. The OC premieres on FOX at 9. Here's the first few minutes. Music from Placebo, Alexi Murdoch, Editors and Band of Horses. I might be tempted to go out and see Lions in the Street at Trash Bar in Williamsburg.

11/3: Dirty On Purpose are playing at Galapagos in Brooklyn. I guess I'll be missing the opening night of Borat:

11/4: The Films are playing Bowery Ballroom. I got an advanced copy of their new album, and have been listening to it non-stop.

11/5: Beat Radio is adding additional tracks to his website. I already picked them up, and they sound great.
