The Hong Kong

Since CBGB's is closing down next week, I thought this would be an appropriate time to post The Hong Kong. This Brooklyn band assimilates the styles of the 70's punk scene (heavily influenced by Blondie and The Ramones) with today's dance-heavy synth rhythms. The blend of catchy rock with lead singer Catherine Culpepper's soothing vocals reminds me of The Cranberries. You can find more from these guys on ITunes.
