Beirut
Zach Condon has found success at 21 with his popular project Beirut. Condon creates Balkan-inspired folk songs using a variety of instruments including ukeleles, mandolins, trumpets, and accordions. I'd describe his voice as a more confident, less whiny version of Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes. Beirut's three May shows at the Bowery Ballroom have already sold out - - the live tracks below should hold you over until more are scheduled.
