The Reason
Canada's The Reason plays high energy, layered rock songs. The band has an uncanny ability to step near the edge of niche genres like screamo, electronica and punk, yet create an undefined signature sound with a universal appeal. The person who recommended them described them as Modest Mouse meets The Clash - - spot on.

I dunno man, I'm a huge clash fan, and I kind of hear it in their music. Thing about the London Calling album when The Right Profile leads into Lost in a Supermarket. Being able to straddle genres like that is exactly what this band does. I can see where the disagreement comes in though.

The link for the 5th song is broken :( Says on the Reason site that it's an acoustic version of that tune, which I'd totally love to hear. Any chance on that being fixed and an email being shot my way? :)

I've seen these guys in concert and boy, can they ever put on a show. i can't really compare them to anyone specific, except as people are says-- modest mouse. but i think they have their own sound.
