The Decemberists, one of the bigger buzz bands of last year, create sophisticated pop songs with a storyteller-like approach. These guys have been accurately described as "hyper-literate prog rock" - - the lyrics are intelligent, and the music is meticulously orchestrated. I love these guys ! The Crane Wife is such a great album, there isn't a song that is less than "good" on it, check it out everybody
