The Bowery Riots
Remember the days of prohibition, zoot suits, and tommy guns? Probably not - - unless you're a senior citizen. The Bowery Riots revive the up-tempo sounds and styles of '50s big band, giving it a dirtier, relevant edge. You may recognize the lead singer from his other bands Rockets and Cars and Cities on Fire. Busy guy.

How ironic that this band gets posted when Mike is in trouble with a mob. ;)

These guys are pretty sick. I really like the way their riffs have this heavy swing to them. They actually remind me of the Josh Dion Band. Except everything that they play has this awesome uplifting feel to it – its got some real soul. I heard they are going to be playing like here woozyfly .com March 12th. Its kind of cool that they are broadcasting live. Now lots of bands are stepping up to the kinds of things that only bands like radio used to be able to do.

Oh how i miss the days when i didn't forget to check this website.
Unfortunately, free inie has become yet another story with the ending line being: " if it is not broke..."
I discovered new music and bands I had never heard of before.
I hope things get worked out soon.

I give up on freeindie. They've lost everybody else anyways, fuck, just tear the site down, it's a waste of servers.

i wrote to mike or whoever and this is what i got back...
"hey man,
I really appreciate the support. Im sorry that this whole thing has
taken so long, but I haven't been lying to you. There is something
coming. I work for Lime Wire, and the programmer who offered to design
the new site is a co-worker. But now that Lime Wire is putting out a new
store, his head is all over the place. He's great, and he put together a
cool new website, but hes so distracted, and getting it up has been such
a mess. I promise it will be up soon."
so... i don't know.
