Forget synthesizers, back beats and gimmickry. Chicago-based musician Joe Pug proves that an acoustic guitar, occasional harmonica and a brilliant knack for song writing is all you need to sound relevant. His latest EP Nation of Heat is a giant step for the indie folk genre, bringing back minimalist techniques of 60's legends. It's quite clear that this guy's here to stay.
